The Asia pitch for Singapore Tourism Board was led by the Y&R Singapore office in partnership with its regional counterparts across Asia
Rediffusion DY&R's Mumbai office has been awarded the creative duties for Singapore Tourism Board (STB) for India and the Middle-East region. The Asia pitch for STB was led by the Y&R Singapore office in partnership with its regional counterparts across Asia. Rediffusion India was a key member in the entire pitch process. Representing the Indian team was Deb Sen, COO, Rediffusion DY&R.
Since Y&R Singapore has won the business, it was decided that Rediffusion DY&R would handle India-specific advertising and work for the Middle East region as well.
Confirming the development, Sen says, “While we would be releasing international ads, there would be sizeable local work on Singapore Tourism since India is an important market for STB.”
The size of the business, according to Sen, is going to be substantial. “Since Starcom is handling the media part of the business, I would not be able to give an exact figure. But I can say that it is going to be very big.”
Before STB decided to call for a pitch, rmg david in India was handling the business through a "working alliance" with associate WPP agency Batey Advertising. The Singapore-based agency – founded by creative stalwart Ian Batey and best known for the long-standing ‘Singapore girl' campaign for Singapore International Airlines – was the global communications partner for Singapore Tourism. © 2005 agencyfaqs!
