Around 10 to 12 agencies were involved in the pitch
Ambience Publicis Delhi has won the creative duties for the British High Commission. Sources in Group M have confirmed that MindShare, Delhi, has bagged the media duties for the High Commission.
Around 10 to 12 agencies participated in the pitch, which was held in July.
Confirming the development to agencyfaqs!, Amit Shahi, AVP, Ambience Publicis, Delhi, says, “The campaign will be led by stellar facts on five key pillars – education, business, science and technology, environment and the creative arts. It will seek to drive home the message that the UK has the creative and innovative environs and depth that lead to pathbreaking achievements and leadership in every field; lending credence to the positioning – ‘UK Creating Tomorrow’.”
He adds, “We are looking forward to creating some memorable communication under this campaign. We would like to believe that what won the pitch for us was our creative and strategy teams’ conscious decision to stay away from all existing stereotypes about the UK and our distinctive graphics based on ‘immersion design’.”
When asked about the size of the business, Rajiv Sabnis, COO, Ambience Publicis, says, “This is more of a prestigious account that we want to be part of since we are further strengthening the image of a ‘country’ brand.”
In an earlier interview with agencyfaqs!, Jeff Wilson, first secretary, press and communications, British High Commission, said, “We enjoy working with PR and marketing agencies in India on a regular basis – both in specific events and regarding our overall profile in India.”
The British High Commission plans to portray the UK as a technologically advanced, modern nation, and not as a country steeped in old-world customs.
