Dead creatives shine for RKSwamy/BBDO at One Club exhibition

The agency had sent four entries and all of them have been selected for the exhibition

Four of RK Swamy/BBDO’s creatives have been selected for One Club’s ‘The Night of the Living Dead’ exhibition. The exhibition, which began on November 9 in New York will be on till November 16.

The exhibition which invites entries that have been rejected by clients, has made a comeback after ten years. Given the increasing number of creatives being killed by clients every year, One Club, a non-profit organization for the recognition and promotion of excellence in advertising, decided to revive the exhibition.

Chandrashekhar Vaidya, senior creative director, RKSwamy/BBDO, says, “The four posters were created for IndusInd Bank on World Population Day, but discarded by the clients. We, however, believed in the campaigns and decided to send it for One Club’s exhibition.”

The first poster shows a globe placed inside a condom and the tag line reads: ‘Be responsible on the World Population Day’.

The other three posters show mating birds, animals and insects, respectively. The tag line says that they will have a sky, a tree or a jungle to move about, but if man doesn’t wake up now; soon they will not have a land to walk on.

An enthused Vaidya adds, “This indeed is a real achievement for the agency, and also a morale booster for the entire creative team.”
