Mudra becomes ‘Agency of the Year’ at Cochin Ad Club Awards 2005
The other agencies that did themselves proud at the ceremony were TBWA, Stark Communications, FCB Ulka, Maitri, Fullmoon and Darshan
Mudra has bagged four golds, two silvers and one bronze at the Cochin Ad Club Awards 2005. The agency has also bagged the special honour of being the ‘Agency of the Year’, an award that was introduced this year.
Close behind Mudra is TBWA, which has won two golds, two silvers and two bronzes. Stark Communications comes in third with one gold, two silvers and one bronze, followed by Maithri, which won three silvers and four bronzes. The list of winners also includes FCB Ulka, which bagged one silver and two bronzes, Fullmoon, which won one silver, and Darshan Advertising, which bagged one silver.
The four categories in which Mudra bagged the golds were TV Commercial (Manorama Classifieds), Print Leaflets (Ad Club), Outdoor (Manorama Perzonals) and Press Colour Campaign (Manorama Perzonals). The agency got silvers in TV Commercial (Ad Club) and Multimedia (Manorama Perzonals). The category in which the agency won a bronze award was Radio (Pankaja Kasturi).
TBWA bagged its two gold awards in the categories of Direct Mailer (Manorama) and Poster (KPM Eye Hospital). The agency bagged two silvers in the categories of Print Brochure (Wilder Nest) and Press B&W Campaign (Manorama Daily). The two categories in which TBWA bagged a bronze were TV Commercial (Manorama Daily) and Poster (Manorama).
Speaking to agencyfaqs!, Sandeep Nayar, secretary, Advertising Club, Kochi, says, “This year, the Cochin Ad Club completed 12 years and, on this occasion, we received 200 entries for the awards ceremony. The Ad Club committee took all the entries to Bangalore and everything was presented and shortlisted there by the judges.”
The different categories for the awards ceremony included multimedia, press, television (corporate audio-visuals and television commercials), radio, POP (posters, dispensers, danglers, stickers, buntings, banners), print (leaflets, brochure, annual report, corporate brochure, newsletter), calendar, packaging, outdoor and photography.
