Deep Bisen, Jayesh Ravindranath bid farewell to Triton

Bisen, executive director, business development, Triton Integrated Communications, and Ravindranath, executive director, Triton, have decided to move on

Deep Bisen, executive director, business development, Triton Integrated Communications, has put in his papers. Bisen plans to start his own marketing communications company, but he says the details are still being worked out.

Citing the reason for ending his five-year association with Triton Integrated Communications, Bisen says, “Indian markets are booming and the scene has never looked better. I have had my fill of success at various companies and I felt this was the right time to taste what being an entrepreneur was all about. I can finally carve out a niche for myself without worrying about any limitations.”

Bisen started his career in advertising in 1978 at Everest Brand Solutions (then Everest Advertising), where he spent seven years in the client services function. He then joined The Edge Communications in New Delhi, where he spent another five years.

From Edge, Bisen moved to join the Sanjay Dalmia Group in New Delhi, where he was instrumental in reviving the group’s in-house agency, Govan Advertising. In 1993, he joined IB&W Communications, Mumbai. Seven years later, in 2000, he moved on to Triton Integrated Communications. In his career span, Bisen has worked on brands such as Nippo Batteries, Force Motors (then Bajaj Motors), DuPont, the UB Group (Zingaro Beer), Marico (Anik Shakti Hair Oil) and Samsung.

Jayesh Ravindranath, executive director, Triton, Mumbai, has decided to shift from advertising. He is moving to the Landmark International Group, Dubai (which owns the Lifestyle chain in India), as head, marketing.

Ravindranath talks about his reasons for venturing into marketing: “After BPOs, retailing is the next big thing waiting to happen. The entire ballgame here is totally different from advertising agencies. And the group that I am joining is a large player in the retail scene.”

Ravindranath started off in 1983 with FCB Ulka (then Ulka Advertising), after which he did stints at Saatchi & Saatchi (then Everest Saatchi & Saatchi), Leo Burnett (then Chaitra) and JWT in Saudi Arabia (where he worked on the Unilever brands and DeBeers).

In 1996, he moved to Ambience Publicis (then Ambience D’Arcy), two years after which he moved on to Lintas (then Lowe). He has been with Triton since 2002-03.
