The creative director of Percept H will judge the TV advertising category

Anil Kakar, creative director, Percept H, has been invited to judge the New York Festivals. He will judge the 2006 TV advertising category of the New York Festivals. The winners of this year’s competition will be honoured at an awards ceremony, which will be held on January 26, 2006, in New York City.

Kakar says, “Senior creative directors from around the world, who are on the panel, judge the entries online.”

He continues, “I have already seen around 300 ad films from across the world. All the entries are given scores and they are then shortlisted.”

Summing up his experience on judging the awards, Kakar says, “This opportunity gave me a chance to witness diverse works and exposed me to various styles, which was an enriching experience.”

Last year, Kakar was on the panel of judges at the Ad Club Bombay and the OAC (Outdoor Ad Convention). He has worked with Enterprise Nexus, Leo Burnett, SSC&B Lintas and Ambience Publicis. Kakar has worked on brands such as ‘The Times Of India’, Lakme, Akai and FedEx.

For the record, the New York Festivals (NYF) has honoured excellence in creative communication, work that has touched the hearts and minds of readers, listeners and viewers worldwide, for close to 50 years. Over the last half of the 20th century, NYF has grown to include nine international awards competitions, reflecting the growth and development of the media industry itself. In addition to the original Film and Video Competition, NYF now includes TV Programming and Promotion; Radio Programming and Promotion; TV, Cinema and Radio Advertising; Design, Outdoor and Print Advertising, and Interactive Online Communications.
