Sandeep Inamke replaces Vikas Bahl as V-P at Contract, Mumbai

Inamke moves from FCB Ulka, where he was general manager, Mumbai. He will be joining Contract as vice-president, Mumbai, replacing Vikas Bahl, who recently joined SAB TV as senior vice-president, content and communication

When Vikas Bahl, vice-president, Contract, Mumbai, left the agency and joined SAB TV as senior vice-president, content and communication, speculation was rife on who would take his place.

The wait is over: Sandeep Inamke, general manager, FCB Ulka, Mumbai, will be taking Bahl’s place in Contract from today. He will work closely with Umesh Shrikhande.

Inamke, who, in his own words, has been a ‘JWT man’ for over 10 years of his 15-year career, says, “I was with FCB Ulka for a short while – around four months. Somewhere down the line, I preferred being a part of the Thompson culture, so I decided to be a part of it again, by joining Contract, JWT’s sister agency.”

At Contract, Inamke will be working on several brands, including HSBC, Cadbury Halls and Cadbury Bytes.

Inamke began his association with advertising in 1990 with Enterprise Nexus (then Nexus Equity). Two years later, he moved to Mudra, where he was put in charge of new business development. In 1994, he did a brief stint for a year at Lowe (then Lintas), after which he moved to JWT (first in Bangalore, then Mumbai). He was with JWT till July-August this year, after which he moved to FCB Ulka.

Inamke has worked on brands such as Timex, Lipton Ice Tea, Lipton Yellow Label, Taj Mahal, ‘The Times of India’ and Optonica (now Sharp).
