Atulit Saxena to end his year-long tryst with Euro RSCG?

Saxena joined as Delhi head of Euro RSCG in January 2005

If sources within Euro RSCG are to be believed, Atulit Saxena, head of the agency’s Delhi branch, is on his way out. A senior executive at Euro RSCG told agencyfaqs!, “We are aware he is planning to move; he has also made his intentions about quitting clear. But officially, he hasn’t put in his papers yet.”

“All we can say is that he might even reconsider his decision and stay back,” said the senior executive. But industry sources confirm that this is unlikely to happen.

When agencyfaqs! tried to contact Saxena, he declined to comment, and when pushed, would only say that he would be in a better position to talk about the matter in a week’s time.

Incidentally, Euro RSCG’s associate creative director duo in Delhi, Gaurav and Ranjan Nautiyal, also put in their papers early this month.

For the record, it has been just a year since Saxena joined Euro RSCG as head of the Delhi branch. At the time of his appointment, he had said that apart from looking at higher growth in terms of revenue, he would also focus on upgrading the agency’s creative output.

Before joining Euro RSCG, Saxena, who has spent close to 17 years in the industry, did a four-year stint at Bates, where he joined as vice-president and Delhi head. Prior to Bates, he was with Mudra for 13 years.

Some of the brands that Saxena has worked on in his career are Dabur, Reckitt Benckiser (then called Reckitt and Coleman), Samsung, Indian (then Indian Airlines), Nestle, Frito Lay’s, Honda gensets and HCL.
