Clash of the Titans: Pandey versus Padamsee

This Friday night may prove to be rather interesting. On March 3, 2006, the Subhas Ghosal Foundation will host ‘Provocations’, an event that will see ad veterans Alyque Padamsee and O&M’s chairman and national creative director, Piyush Pandey, engage in a debate.

Various controversial issues that are haunting the ad industry today will be debated, and it is believed that Padamsee will ‘provoke’ Pandey to do various interesting tasks. The discussion will be moderated by Gerson da Cunha, who will pose ‘tough’ questions to both the parties.

The event will be held at Nehru Centre, Mumbai, at 6:30 pm. Donor passes costing Rs 150 will be available at the Advertising Club, Bombay, as well as at the venue. The evening has been sponsored by ‘News Today’, the afternoon newspaper from ‘Rajasthan Patrika’.

‘Provocations’ is a new series of events started by the Subhas Ghosal Foundation. The aim is to get fresh insights from people who are instrumental in shaping the Indian ad industry.

For the record, the Subhas Ghosal Foundation was set up by a group of communication professionals to promote the values that Subhas Ghosal stood for in his lifetime. The foundation serves not just as a fitting memorial to one of the towering personalities in the history of advertising, but also as an instrument to promote professionalism in the industry.
