O&M, Singapore, tops the list of 25 hottest agencies in Asia, while O&M, Mumbai, secures the numero uno position in the Indian agency rankings. Manish Bhatt, Raghu Bhat and Abhijit Avasthi are among India’s hottest creatives yet again

The result of the annual Campaign Brief Asia creative rankings is out. In the list featuring the 25 hottest agencies in Asia, O&M, Singapore, has secured top position, becoming the most awarded agency for the fifth year in a row.

BBDO, Singapore, comes next on the list, followed by Dentsu Inc., Tokyo, BBDO, Bangkok, TBWA, Singapore, Saatchi & Saatchi, Bangkok, TBWA, Tokyo, Leo Burnett, Singapore, Euro RSCG Flagship, Bangkok, and Creative JuiceG1, Bangkok. In the same list, O&M, Mumbai, finds place at number 20, whereas Leo Burnett, Mumbai, is at number 23.

Unfortunately, no Indian has made it to the list of the 20 hottest creatives in Asia.

In the Indian list of hottest creatives, the first three positions are occupied by creative people from McCann-Erickson. Kalpesh Patnakar tops the list. Sharing second position jointly are creative directors Manish Bhatt (who has moved up one place from rank three in 2004) and Raghu Bhat (who has moved up from rank nine). The fourth rank has gone to Puneet Kapoor.

Mahesh Parab of Ambience Publicis, Mumbai, Rahul Mathew of McCann-Erickson, Mumbai, and Amit Nandwani of David, Delhi, are others who have made it to the list.

Meanwhile, Abhijit Avasthi of O&M, Mumbai, has stepped down from fourth position in 2004 to rank 16 this year. He shares that rank with new entrant Jignesh Maniar from O&M, Mumbai. Vineet Mahajan of O&M, Delhi, has secured the 27th position.

O&M, Singapore, has also been crowned the Regional Agency of the Year. In addition, O&M has also bagged the title of Network of the Year for the fourth time in a row, followed by TBWA, BBDO, Saatchi & Saatchi and Leo Burnett. O&M has also been declared Agency of the Year in India (where it has retained the number one position from last year), Hong Kong and Singapore.

In the India rankings, following O&M is Leo Burnett, Mumbai, in the number two spot. The third, fourth and fifth places have gone to three agencies from Mumbai – Ambience Publicis, McCann-Erickson and Saatchi and Saatchi, respectively. The other agencies on this list (in descending order) are O&M, New Delhi, David, Mumbai, Lowe Worldwide, Mumbai, JWT, Chennai, and JWT, Mumbai.

For the record, Campaign Brief ranks agencies on the basis of awards won at the four big international shows: D&AD, Cannes, One Show and Clio and AdFest and Asian Ad Awards. India was included in the ranking from 2002.
