O&M’s P Subramanian joins Interface, Chennai, as branch head

Subramanian has earlier worked with agencies such as TBWA and Lowe on brands like TAFE tractors, Apple and Reynolds

P Subramanian, director, client services, O&M, Hyderabad, has moved on to Interface, Chennai, as branch head.

Subramanian, who holds an MTech degree, has over 15 years of experience in advertising. He has worked with agencies such as TBWA and Lowe on brands like TAFE Tractors, Apple, Reynolds and Arun Ice Creams. At Interface, he will supervise key clients such as Henkel, Mahindra Holidays, ‘Business Line’ and Lotte Confectionery.

Subramanian comments on the reason for his move: “This move offers me enhanced exposure in a comparatively bigger city, with a larger role to play and an opportunity to handle better brands.”

Subramanian explains his new mandate: “Working on powerful brands such as Margo from Henkel, Club Mahindra and ‘Business Line’ is a huge opportunity. Interface has done great work for them in the recent past and I hope to use my 15 years of learning to add even more strategic value to these brands.”

Subramanian talks of the re-branding of the Indian School of Business (ISB) as one of the memorable projects of his career. Since the ISB was the first in India to launch a full-time, one-year, postgraduate course in business management (equivalent to the two-year MBA course), his challenge was to communicate this effectively and efficiently to young students who aspired to become MBAs and make their mark in the world of business.

Commenting on Subramanian joining Interface, Chennai, Niteen Bhagwat, CEO, Interface Communications, says, “Interface is among the top five agencies and Subramanian and his team are sure to take it to new heights. We believe that the southern market is booming and a vibrant office in Chennai is the key to our growth strategy.”
