The Delhi Advertising Club (DAC) has announced the names of the judges on the panel of the ICE Awards 2006. In keeping with its agenda of taking the DAC awards to the national arena, the names of the judges include heavyweights in the fields of advertising and marketing.

DAC president VK Chopra says, “The DAC board, in consensus with its members, has decided on the names of the jury members, which include people who are leaders in their fields. We have tried to get a healthy mix of jury members who are not just creative heads, but also product managers and professionals in the media buying/selling agencies.”

Chopra reveals that the list of judges is almost confirmed as he has got an okay for all these names. However, he did not rule out some last-minute changes. He says about the selection procedure: “Our awards stand for transparency and we are working on a selection process that will ensure this. We have decided that the judging will be spread over three days, but are still working on the other details.”

The ICE Awards, which were earlier slated to take place on June 23, 2006, have been pushed to the third week of July; the summer vacation is being cited as the reason for this shift.
