M&C Saatchi wins Easy Bill

The size of this business is estimated to be Rs 5 crore

Following a multi-agency pitch, M&C Saatchi has bagged the creative duties for Easy Bill, a Hero Group company. The other agencies in the fray were JWT, O&M, Saatchi & Saatchi and Focus.

The size of the business is estimated to be Rs 5 crore. According to Kamal Oberoi, chairman and managing director, M&C Saatchi, it was the brutal simplicity of its creative strategy that helped it sweep away the business.

Unnikrishnan Nair, vice-president, marketing and sales, Easy Bill, adds to this: “Besides presenting outstanding creatives, the agency’s strategic insight on the brand was also quite impressive.”

Easy Bill has begun its advertising in print as well as radio. Nair reveals that their focus is larger on print as they are a franchised network model. They have a strategic tie-up with Radio City. Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd also possesses a minor equity stake in the Easy Bill business, which gives the latter access to their portfolio of media.

For the record, Easy Bill Ltd is a bill collections company.

Meanwhile, M&C Saatchi has also won the creative duties for a Delhi-based concept interiors mall, called Crown Interiorz, which is situated on the Delhi-Faridabad highway and is part of the Aeren RJ Group.
