Ogilvy One's Rajeev Sharma moves to Tribal DDB

Sharma says his specialisation is in the field of new media

Rajeev Sharma of O&M, Mumbai, is to join Tribal DDB as head, digital solutions on September 1. Sharma has been with Ogilvy for six years.

Sharma will report to Leroy Alvares, country head, Tribal DDB. He says, “My responsibility will be to help the agency grow and bring in more business.”

Sharma says that his specialisation is in the field of new media and he has worked in the online space for around 11 years. That is what brings him back to the field.

Sharma began his career in 1995-96 with Combit Advertising Network. That was the time when the Internet had just entered India. After a short stint at TBWA Interactive, he joined Ogilvy Interactive, Delhi, where he was head, profit centre. He worked there for five years. He went on to join Ogilvy One, Mumbai, for a year in the client servicing department.

During his career span, he has worked on brands such as Nokia, American Express, Hero Motors, Somany Tiles, Ministry of Tourism, BILT and British Airways.

“The launch of the Nokia, India, online operation is one memorable campaign I worked on; I was instrumental in the launch. The ‘Incredible India’ campaign for the Ministry of Tourism has also been special,” says Sharma.
