Ex-Dentsu Communications’ Sanjeev Gauba joins Bates Enterprise as V-P

Sanjeev Gauba has spent 19 years at various levels in the client servicing function. Before joining Bates, he was working with Dentsu Communications as the branch head, Delhi

Sanjeev Gauba, who had quit Dentsu Communications seven months ago as its branch head, Delhi, has joined Bates Enterprise as vice-president. He went on a sabbatical after he bid adieu to Dentsu, where his stint as branch head was rather short.

Commenting on Gauba’s appointment, Alok Agrawal, executive vice-president, Bates Enterprise, remarks, “Given his rich experience in the industry, we believe that Sanjeev will be a very good fit in the organisation and bring value to the agency.”

Gauba says, “Bates is currently in a growth mode and there could be no better time for me to join the agency. My plan is to further strengthen the agency’s offering.”

Gauba has worked with agencies such as Clarion (now Bates Enterprise), Mudra and Rediffusion DY&R. Prior to joining Denstu, Gauba worked with Mudra, where he was in his second stint with the agency. Interestingly, Mudra is also the agency where he has spent the maximum number of work years (nine, to be precise).

Gauba holds his work on the Reliance India Mobile venture while at Mudra as the closest to his heart. While there, he headed the team involved in helping Reliance launch the service. The other brands that he has worked on include LIC, Nestle, Daikin, RMI Cycles, JK Tyres and IFFCO-Tokio.
