RK Swamy/BBDO appoints VS Rao as general manager, Hyderabad

VS Rao was till now working as the associate branch director in RK Swamy’s Bangalore office and has replaced the current head of the Hyderabad branch, R Vishwa Mohan

VS Rao, who was till now working as the associate branch director in RK Swamy’s Bangalore office, has now been appointed as general manager for the agency’s Hyderabad branch.

Rao has replaced the current head of the Hyderabad branch, R Vishwa Mohan. Vishwa Mohan led the branch since the last 10 years and had now moved to head the agency’s health care communication’s vertical ,‘Pharma Direction’ and its associated division ‘Hansa MedCell’, in Mumbai.

Rao has over 20 years of experience in the field of advertising. He started his career with MAA Bozell, Hyderabad and later moved to RK Swamy’s Hyderabad office in 1993, before joining the agency’s Bangalore bench. Some of the clients he has worked on during the span of his career include Wipro, Tata Indicom, ICICI One-source, LogicaCMG, Kurlon, Heritage Milk, Continental Coffee, AP Dairy, ECIL and Satyam Computers.

Commenting on the development, Srinivasan K Swamy, chairman and chief executive officer, RK Swamy BBDO, says, “Rao has been with RK Swamy BBDO since 13 years. He is a skilled, experienced and responsible veteran in the advertising field. With him joining the Hyderabad branch, we hope to build on our leadership position in that market.”
