BEI Confluence bags Eurofly business

Eurofly has launched a flight connecting Rome and Delhi. It has awarded the creative duties for the service to BEI Confluence within India. Outside India, the Bird Group handles the airline’s advertising duties

Eurofly, a leisure airline, has announced its entry in the Indian market. The airline company will roll out direct flights from New Delhi to Rome beginning January 15, 2007. In this context, after a multi-agency pitch, Eurofly has awarded the creative duties for the service to BEI Confluence. The agency will help Eurofly roll out an advertising campaign in December 2006. The size of the business, according to industry estimates, is Rs 7-8 crore.

Eurofly had called for a pitch late in September 2006. The participating agencies were asked to make various presentations at different times. Says Devraj Basu, regional director, BEI Confluence, “During the pitch, we made various creative, planning and strategic presentations for the client. The brief for the agencies was to push Rome as a destination in India. Two major cities of the world – New Delhi and Rome – were being connected directly by a Eurofly flight and this was what the client wanted us to promote.”
