Shavon Barua puts in her papers at Dentsu Q-Pro

Barua used to head the Dentsu Q-Pro operations as general manager. Prior to joining Dentsu Q-Pro, she worked with Ambience Publicis, Mumbai, as associate vice-president

It is learnt from sources close to the development that Shavon Barua, who was heading the operations of Dentsu Q-Pro, Dentsu’s employee branding communications venture, as general manager, has put in her papers. Barua was unavailable for comment, so her next move is not known.

Prior to joining Dentsu Q-Pro, Barua worked with Ambience Publicis, Mumbai; she was associate vice-president there and handled accounts such as Lakme and Westside.

In all, Barua has close to 12 years of experience in the field of advertising. She started her career in 1995 with Bates Enterprise in Kolkata (then Clarion), where she worked on the Gold Flake account. After this, she moved to SSC&B Lintas, Mumbai, and later to the agency’s Delhi branch, where she handled Marico, Allwyn, IDB and Hero Honda. Her next stint was with Rediffusion DY&R, where she looked after the team servicing Colgate-Palmolive. She was instrumental in the creation of the Colgate Gel ‘Talk to Me’ campaign.

For the record, Dentsu Q-Pro is a specialist division that works in the area of recruitment and employment advertising. Its objective is to help its clients maintain a nurturing relationship with their employees through training and motivational programmes and other corporate initiatives.
