Mudra wins the MAD Quiz second time in a row

Mudra and Sun Micro Systems were the two teams in the final round. The finishing scores were 68 and 60, respectively

For the second time in a row, Mudra has emerged victorious in the marketing and advertising quiz organised by the Advertising Club of Bombay. The quiz was hosted by the famous host of the Bournvita Quiz Contest, Derek O'Brien. The event happened in a pub-like ambience, with drinks flowing freely.

In all, the show saw the participation of 29 teams from companies in the sphere of advertising and marketing. The companies were SET India (two teams), Ogilvy & Mather (two teams), Times Now, TNS, Lowe, Contract, JWT, Equus Red Cell, Mudra, Brand David, Asian Paints (two teams), IMRV, Pinstorm, e-Bay India, Starcom (two teams), Sun Micro Systems, UTI (four teams), Times Group, Madison Communication, GroupM, Web Chutney, and ICICI Bank.

Initially, there were five rounds of questions. Based on their scores, the top six teams, Contract, Equus Red Cell, Mudra, O&M, Sun Micro Systems and TNS India, were chosen for the next round.

O&M and Equus Red Cell were eliminated in the third round, while Contract and TNS got out in the fourth round. Mudra and Sun Micro Systems were left to compete with each other for the trophy in the final round.

Even though it is a non-advertising agency, Sun Micro Systems put up a tough fight against Mudra. At times, it seemed entirely possible that Sun Micro Systems would outflank the ad agency. But Mudra mustered up its strength and came up with some unthinkable answers to tricky questions. The final scores were 68 for Mudra and 60 for Sun Micro Systems.

Radio Mirchi was the main sponsor for the event while Hutch and Neo Sports were associate sponsors.
