Jishnu Sen to head Grey Worldwide's Mumbai branch

Sen's last post was as regional client servicing director for Colgate Palmolive with Y&R, New York. He will report to Nirvik Singh, chairman and president, Grey Global Group, South and Southeast Asia

Jishnu Sen has joined Grey Worldwide as the branch head for Mumbai. He replaces Errol Goveas, who quit the agency in October last year. In his previous assignment, Sen was regional client servicing director on the Colgate Palmolive business with Y&R, New York. He will report to Nirvik Singh, chairman and president, Grey Global Group, South and Southeast Asia.

Sen has close to 20 years of experience in advertising. He started his career with JWT and spent five years working on brands such as ITC, Pizza Hut, Pepsi, GSK, ESPN, STAR Sports and the Indian Army. He was also active in winning the Reckitt pitch for the agency at that time. Sen has also worked for JWT projects in Singapore, Hong Kong and the US.

He has been associated with Y&R for the past 15 years. During this time, he worked mainly on various categories in the Colgate Palmolive stable across Y&R's Singapore, Hong Kong and US offices.

Commenting on his appointment, Nirvik Singh says, "Jishnu (Sen) comes to Grey from JWT and Y&R with two decades of experience. He is a thoroughbred advertising professional and has experience cutting across varied categories and geographic boundaries. He is a substantial resource for the company and will help accelerate our business and that of our clients."

Says Sen, "With the single-minded objective of substantiating our clients in the marketplace, I will be partnering the Grey team to create powerful branding ideas with in-depth consumer understanding."
