Wadia to fly with Preity Zinta; appoints star as brand ambassador for GoAir

Preity Zinta will feature in all endorsements for GoAir fulfilling her role as the airline’s brand ambassador

Preity Zinta has just moved a step closer to the Wadia family. She has been appointed by the younger Wadia scion Jeh Wadia, managing director, GoAir, as the brand ambassador for the low fair airline. The recently launched airline claims to have five per cent market share at present.

With Zinta moving in as the brand ambassador, GoAir intends to up its brand awareness. As a part of GoAir's brand building initiative, the Bollywood actor will now be a part of various marketing and branding efforts for the airline.

Zinta has been picked up to represent the GoAir brand as the company believes there are some striking similarities between the celebrity and the airline brand. Besides dazzling, gorgeous, and charming, the other similar virtues are energetic, fun, stylish and youthful, according to the company executives.

Says Jeh Wadia, "We are committed towards achieving a leadership position in the low fare airline segment. Preity will further contribute towards creating our brand presence. Her distinctive style, liveliness and fun loving nature highlight the core attributes of the airline.”

Chirps Zinta, “I am absolutely delighted to be associated with this colorful, energetic, stylish and fun airline.” Zinta will from no on feature in the new GoAir thematic nationwide campaign ‘Chalo India, Lets Fly Smart’.

The campaign can be sampled on the airline’s portal, www.goair.in. The website has been redone and made to look more vibrant. It comes with interactive features, is more user friendly and will showcase the innovative marketing promotions, the latest being Lowest Fare Finder.

Passengers can also download flight schedule, connectivity route map, wallpapers, pictures of Preity Zinta, GoAir logos amongst others. A section called ‘Did You Know’ has been introduced. It allows passengers to educate and enhance their knowledge on the aviation industry.

As per the new summer schedule, GoAir now has a total of 387 weekly flights across 10 destinations in India, offering its passengers an option to choose a flight at a time most convenient to them.
