The Outdoor Advertising Awards (OAA), held under the aegis of the Outdoor Advertising Convention (OAC) 2007, has announced two distinct judging panels for the creative and the media categories. The creative panel will be headed by Josy Paul, national creative director, JWT, and will comprise of 10 members from the fields of advertising and marketing. The media panel will have only five members.

The creative panel includes Abhijit Avasthi, group creative director, O&M Juju Basu, creative director, Saatchi & Saatchi; Manish Bhatt, senior creative director, Contract Advertising; Vikram Gaikwad, creative director, Grey Worldwide; Sajan Raj Kurup, regional creative director, Grey Worldwide; Priti Nair, executive creative director, Lowe India; Santosh Padhi, executive creative director and national head of art, Leo Burnett; Sita Narayanswami, senior vice-president and network marketing head, Zee Network; Tina Singh, head, corporate brand, ICICI Bank; and Sandip Tarkas, media head, Reliance ADA Group.
The jury for the media panel comprises of Arminio Ribeiro, chief executive officer, Platinum India; Jasmin Sorabji, managing director, OMD India; Pratap Bose, chief executive officer, Ogilvy & Mather; Ravi Kiran, chief executive officer, South Asia, Starcom Mediavest Group; and Roda Mehta, chairperson, technical committee, MRUC.
There are 23 categories in all, with six new ones including Real Estate and Construction, Travel and Hospitality, Healthcare, and Clothing, Footwear and Accessories for the creative awards, and Best Format Innovation and Best Print Innovation in the media awards. The first phase of judging will be held online to decide the shortlists in each category. The winners will be announced at the judging event on June 2, 2007.
