Chatterjee has 12 years of experience in the field of advertising. He will join his new job on May 15
JWT’s creative director, Amitabh Chatterjee, will join The Republic today. At The Republic, he will be designated creative director and will work on all the brands in the agency’s portfolio.
Chatterjee’s overall experience in the field of advertising is close to 12 years. He started his career in 1995 with a Mumbai based agency called Impressions. He worked here for the next four years and moved to Triton Communications. After spending close to a year at Triton, his next stint was with RK Swamy/BBDO, where he worked for two years.
Chatterjee remembers working on Kellogg’s in 2003, when the campaign created by his team, under the leadership of Sameera Roy (group creative head, JWT), helped the brand break into the breakfast habits of people. The title of the campaign was ‘Dimag Chalega Nahi, Daudega’.
The Republic was established in 2002 by Maia Katrak and Kersy Katrak, ex-national creative director, Rediffusion DY&R. The agency works with some well known brands such as ‘Femina’, ‘Filmfare’, Smirnoff, Kuoni Holidays, Olive Bar and Kitchen, Oberoi & Hilton, NDTV Profit and Ceasefire.
