He joined JWT in 2001 and has been associated with the organisation since then. Some of the brands he has worked on during the last four-five years include Kellogg’s, Hindustan Petroleum, Promise toothpaste, Reliance Insurance and Lux.

Chatterjee remembers working on Kellogg’s in 2003, when the campaign created by his team, under the leadership of Sameera Roy (group creative head, JWT), helped the brand break into the breakfast habits of people. The title of the campaign was ‘Dimag Chalega Nahi, Daudega’.

Maia Katrak
Maia Katrak, executive creative director, The Republic, says, “To create impactful work for clients, it’s very important for an advertising agency to have a good balance of copywriting along with designing and art. For quite some time, we were looking for a senior creative person for our team who had that deep understanding of the art of copywriting. I have seen Amitabh’s work and it evident that he is very articulate with words. He is passionate about Bollywood and will be contributing particularly to the ‘Filmfare’ brand.”

The Republic was established in 2002 by Maia Katrak and Kersy Katrak, ex-national creative director, Rediffusion DY&R. The agency works with some well known brands such as ‘Femina’, ‘Filmfare’, Smirnoff, Kuoni Holidays, Olive Bar and Kitchen, Oberoi & Hilton, NDTV Profit and Ceasefire.
