Peter Knapp, executive creative director, Europe and Middle East, Landor Associates, who responsible for rebranding several international airline brands such as such as British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Air Mauritius, Asiana, Austrian, Delta Airlines, Gulf Air, and S7, besides Jet Airway, shares his experience while working on Jet Airways, “In case of Jet Airways, the challenge for the airline was to become an international player while simultaneously maintaining its Indianess”.
On being asked about his perception about creativity in Indian advertising, Knapp is of the opinion that Indian advertising moves in a singular direction. “Though given the fact that market dynamics here are different the work is pretty respective. Also, at the end of the day all that matters is whether a particular advertisement has worked well for the client,” he quips.
