Vaybhav Singh, Swami Tirth join McCann Erickson as CDs

Vaybhav Singh and Swami Anand Tirth claim their partnership is more like a professional marriage. Together since 2002, the two were earlier with Dentsu Marcom

The creative duo of Vaybhav Singh and Swami Anand Tirth has joined McCann Erickson, Delhi, as creative directors. After a short stint at Dentsu Marcom, which lasted just three months, the two have now landed at McCann Erickson. The idea, they say, is to work with Prasoon Joshi and make the agency their home. Anand is joining as creative director (art) and Singh as creative director (copy).

Prior to Dentsu Marcom, the duo have worked in M&C Saatchi, the agency they joined in 2005. They have been working together as a team for five years now. They first met in 2002 at Grey Worldwide.

Says Singh, “Our last stint as creative guys was pretty shortlived. Though we had a pretty good time at M&C Saatchi, and were involved in setting up the office, there are multiple reasons why we have chosen to move. The major attraction is the opportunity to work with Prasoon Joshi. Besides, McCann has some really good businesses.”

Singh and Anand will soon be briefed on the brands they are going to handle. Says Debashis Paul, senior vice-president and general manager, McCann Erickson, “They are a brilliant creative team and fit the profile of candidates the agency is looking to hire. There is a lot of work happening in the agency and the two form a part of the plan to expand the creative team.”

Earlier, at Dentsu Marcom, the two were handling brands such as Fedders Lloyd, Canon, and Honda. Prior to that, they have handled brands such as VLCC, SAR Silicon Systems, Hyundai, Mother Dairy, Seagrams, Nestle, ‘Hindustan Times’, Hutch and Gillette.

Their work has featured in Luerzer’s Archive and their television commercial for Hyundai Santro Xing made it to the finalists at the Media Asia ’05 awards.
