Anant Pal Singh back in Mash’s team

Singh is likely to join Rediffusion DY&R, Delhi, as the vice-president on the Airtel business

Anant Pal Singh was elevated as the branch head of Everest Brand Solutions, Delhi – the second agency of Rediffusion DY&R – after Rajiv Rakshit quit the agency in April 2006.

But after Mahesh Chauhan (Mash), then president, Everest, was moved to Rediffusion DY&R, also as president, following the exit of Preet Bedi, Singh quit the agency to move to Dentsu Marcom as general manager.

But in just five months, he’s back in the Rediff stable, or rather, on Mash’s team.

Ramesh Srivats, executive vice-president, Rediffusion DY&R, Delhi, confirmed that Anant Pal Singh will join Rediff, but refused to divulge any further information on his assignment and responsibilities. However, the industry buzz is that Singh will join as vice-president on the Airtel business.

Recently, Rediff also hired Amitesh Rao from JWT, Delhi, as the national business head on the Airtel business, which is one of the most important businesses for the agency. Singh will join by mid-June.

Singh has spent a large part of his career at Rediff. He started off with O&M, but soon moved to Rediff. In 2004, he was moved to Everest Brand Solutions as account director. And within five years of his career, he managed to head the Delhi branch for Everest.
