The week will be held in Old Billingsgate in London from June 25, 2007

D&AD, the not-for-profit organisation that represents the international design, advertising and creative communities worldwide, will be launching D&AD Congress Week 3, which will exhibit the work of creative graduates from leading colleges worldwide. The Congress will be held in Old Billingsgate in London June 25-28, 2007.

The Congress will showcase creative work from streams including advertising, graphic design, digital media, illustration, photography, packaging, product design and communication arts.

The week will begin with the launch of ‘New Blood’, which is an exhibition of the best graduate work from over 100 college courses from around the world. The visitors can register for lectures which will offer insights about various opportunities of creative employment open to the students.

The Congress will also include training sessions, workshops and portfolio analysis with design and advertising’s finest. This will help aspiring creatives with the basic tools needed to get a job in the creative industries.

Garrick Hamm, D&AD education chairman, remarks, “This event gives the opportunity to all the colleges and all the best creative work to come under one big roof and find out who’s doing the best work and from where. Graduates winning at ‘New Blood’ are very much guaranteed their first job. The event also gives many others a foot into an otherwise closed creative director’s door.”

The exhibition and training and advice sessions are free to attend and open to the public. Before attending, it’s mandatory to register with D&AD.
