MRSI to hold the 17th Annual Market Research Seminar

This year’s agenda for discussion is ‘Connecting to the High Growth Future’

The Market Research Society of India will be organising its 17th Annual Market Research Seminar in Bangalore on July 26 and 27. The agenda for discussion this year is ‘Connecting to the High Growth Future’.

The economic growth in recent years has given consumers greater spending power and wider spending choices. The seminar will address the role of marketing research agencies in understanding consumers against the backdrop of the rapid economic growth in sectors such as retail, finance, telecom, FMCG and IT.

Some of the issues that will be addressed during the two-day seminar include enhancing operational efficiency, the emerging retail sector, cutting edge research, innovative methods and solutions and emerging new segments such as working mothers, singles and high net worth individuals, new geographic markets and issues in the research industry.

MRSI has received 16 case study and methodology papers, which will be presented over the two days of the event. The inaugural day’s keynote address will be delivered by Rajiv Narang, chief executive officer, Erehwon Innovation Consulting. Vinita Bali, managing director and chief executive officer, Britannia Industries, will deliver the keynote address on the second day of the seminar.

There have already been 200 registrations and MRSI is expecting to receive 50-80 more. Senior market research professionals, advertising agencies and marketing professionals from industries in both the private and public sector are expected to attend the event. The awards presentation ceremony for the best methodology and case studies will take place at the end of the second day of the seminar, July 27, 2007.
