Rediff’s Ramesh Srivats sets out to explore digital

Srivats has around 14 years’ experience in the advertising business

Ramesh Srivats, executive vice-president and managing partner, Rediffusion DY&R Delhi, has stepped down from his post. He says, “I have been thinking about a personal setup for a while now, and this is on those lines. I am considering the digital space, though as of now, I cannot specify exactly what it would be.”

Srivats moved to Rediffusion’s Delhi branch in 2006, following a restructuring. He is a computer science graduate from IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Madras. He passed out from IIM (Indian Institute of Management) Ahemdabad in 1992 to join JWT (then HTA) in Bangalore. He worked there for 10 years and was associate vice-president when he moved out in 2002. After taking a break for a year, he re-joined HTA Delhi in November 2003, this time as associate vice-president. In April 2004, he moved to Rediff South.

Some accounts Srivats has worked on during his career are Kingfisher, Standard Chartered Bank, Pepsi and Frito-Lays.
