Rani Mukherjee, who endorses Fanta, Munch, Dabur Vatika and Good Knight, will now lend her face to Margo, the neem soap
Rani Mukherjee has a new brand in her kitty of endorsements, Henkel’s neem soap, Margo. The brown eyed actor already endorses Fanta, Dabur Vatika, Good Knight and Munch chocolate.
Margo has preserved its traditional neem formula for more than 85 years now. In 2003, the brand took on a new, younger look in an attempt to position itself as a regular brand rather than a medicinal one.
Margo’s USP remains its unique and time tested 100 per cent pure neem oil formula, which promotes clear skin. Mukherjee will be seen promoting all of the product’s natural, skin protective and nourishing properties.

Mukherjee says, “I’ve always known the brand and I am indeed very impressed with the unchanging honesty and goodness that Margo brings. Every Indian knows neem has innumerable potent properties that are beneficial for the skin. But not many know that Margo is a soap that’s made with 100 per cent pure neem oil! It offers a simple yet good daily skincare routine in today’s busy world.”
In the highly cluttered and competitive toilet soap category, Margo claims a market share of close to 4 per cent in urban West Bengal; it is a strong player in markets such as Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Bihar.
“We wanted to associate with someone who embodies a mix of beauty and an endearing personality and Mukherjee was the unanimous choice. Margo is your quintessential Indian heritage brand. Put together by three eminent and patriotic scientists as part of the Swadeshi movement in the 1920s, over the years, it has built a strong and loyal consumer franchise. We hope the new initiatives will take the brand to greater heights,” says Amit Singh, marketing manager, Henkel India.
Henkel India recently forayed into the liquid hand wash segment with the launch of Margo Original Neem Hand Wash.
