Anil Kakar, senior creative director, Percept/H, has got a promotion. He is now executive creative director and will report to Ajay Chandwani, executive director and board member, Percept Limited as well as Prabhakar Mundkur, chief executive officer, Percept/H.

Kakar started his career 15 years ago with Leo Burnett. He moved on to Bates David Enterprise (earlier Enterprise Nexus), and later to Publicis Ambience, before joining Percept. He has been with Percept/H since the August 2005. At Percept/H, he leads the creative team, and has worked on various campaigns for brands such as FedEx, Canon, Electrolux, Pantaloons, Yardley, Siyarams, Economic Times and Times Ascent.

On his new role, Kakar says, “I was heading the Mumbai branch anyway, so technically, my work responsibilities remain the same.”

His work at Percept has won him quite a few Indian and international awards at various festivals. While showcasing his creative streak at such festivals, he has also been on the other side, as a jury member judging his colleagues works in festivals such as The Abby Awards, The New York Festivals, OAC (Outdoor Advertising Convention) Awards and Goa Fest.

Percept/H is the advertising arm of Percept Limited (earlier known as Percept Holdings). Percept Limited includes various arms such as advertising (Percept/H, Hakuhodu Percept), content (Percept Picture Company), media (Allied media), talent management; sports marketing and public relations (Percept Profile).
