Dilip Marathe to steer creative at Percept/H Mumbai

Marathe has spent 13 years with Rediffusion DY&R, where he worked his way up the ladder

Dilip Marathe has joined Percept/H Mumbai as creative head. He moves from Rediffusion DY&R, where he has spent 13 years.

In his new role, Marathe will be looking at the creatives that are churned out of the Mumbai branch of the agency. He will report to Iqbal Raj, national creative director, Percept/H.

Marathe has almost two decades of experience in the advertising industry. He began his career with daCunha Communications. In 1991, he joined Grey Worldwide (then Trikaya Grey) as senior visualiser. He moved to McCann as art director in 1994. In a year, he joined Rediffusion DY&R in the same capacity; in 2001, he was appointed creative director in that agency.

Prabhakar Mundkur, chief executive officer, Percept/H, in an official communiqué, says, "In his 18 years of experience in advertising, Marathe has worked on leading international and national brands across categories. He is an inspiring leader and his experience and expertise are sure to add value to our clients."

Among the brands that Marathe has worked on are Maruti, Onida, Eveready, Club HP, DNA, IOCL, Airtel, Tata Motors, Colgate, LG, Fanta, STAR Plus and Zee TV.

Marathe says, "I'm excited about this new assignment and my role at Percept/H. The agency has witnessed an upswing, and part of my job will be to ensure that we maintain our creative edge, which has been the strength of Percept/H over the years."
