Law & Kenneth Delhi makes changes at the top

The agency has roped in a new branch head, Varinder Kant, and a head of art, Ashutosh Negi, for the Delhi office

Law & Kenneth has made some changes in its senior management. Charu Bakshi, branch head, Law & Kenneth Delhi, is no more a part of the active agency function; she will play the role of a creative consultant for the agency, specifically for the Dabur brands. Varinder Kant has been roped in as senior vice-president to look after the day to day operations of the branch. Ashutosh Negi has been appointed head of art for the Delhi branch.

Both Kant and Negi joined the agency a few weeks ago. Saurav Ghoshal, associate vice-president and head, client servicing, has quit the agency to join Mudra as group director, brand communications.

Kant has experience of 16 years in the ad business. Prior to this, he was with Crayons as a consultant. He began his career with TBWA (then Anthem) in 1991 as a trainee. In 1992, he joined JWT (then HTA), and continued there for almost three and a half years. He has also done stints with Rediffusion Y&R (then Rediffusion DY&R) and Publicis. In 2003, he set up his own consultancy and ran it for two years. In 2005, he joined Cheil.

Negi, who comes from JWT after spending almost four years there, has nearly 10 years’ experience in the ad industry. He began his career with Dhar & Hoon as a trainee and moved to Mumbai to work with filmmaker Rakesh Omprakash Mehra. Negi worked with Mehra for nearly two years. After that, he worked at DraftFCB Ulka for four years. He has also worked for Contract.

Bakshi will look after the Dabur portfolio, which includes Dabur Healthcare (Honitus Syrup, Chewable, Honeymint lozenges and Dabur Thanda Tel) and Dabur Foods (Real Activ, Dabur Homemade, Capsico, Lemoneez and three new brand portfolios). Kailash Saraban, creative director at the agency's Delhi branch, apart from looking after other brands such as ColorBar and 24x7 Stores, will also work on Dabur.
