Menezes' stint at McCann Erickson lasted for almost three years.
Percept/H has roped in McCann Erickson India's Ryan Menezes, ending the agency's search for a head for its creative function. Menezes has joined Percept/H as chief creative officer, with immediate effect.
Menezes was earlier executive creative director, McCann Erickson. He joined the agency from Vyas Giannetti Creative in 2008.
At Percept/H, Menezes will be responsible for driving up the creative standards of the agency, and managing the various brands handled across the agency's seven offices in the country. His appointment follows significant wins by Percept, including accounts such as Canon Imaging Systems, UIDAI, Asmi, and Carlsberg.
Prabhakar Mundkur, chief executive officer, Percept/H, says, "Menezes is one of the best minds in the business, and I am sure his arrival will send a very clear signal that Percept is ready to take the leap into its next glorious phase. I will also expect him to bring about a culture of creativity, while drawing the best talent that is available in the market."
With two decades of experience in the industry, Menezes was the first to win a Cannes Gold Lion for India. He has worked on leading brands such as Reliance Mobile, Hyundai, Coca-Cola, Thums Up, Smirnoff, Birla Sun Life Insurance, Philips, BBC, and Jet Airways.
He has also worked for other agencies including Ogilvy India, Mudra, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Lowe Lintas in India, and in Africa.
Menezes' award list includes wins at D&AD, Communication Arts, AdFest and New York Festivals, among others. He will also feature on the jury of the Cannes Cyber Lions this year.
