With the recent exit of Meenakshi Achan, the agency will now have N Padmakumar (who joined Rediffusion in December, last year) solely functioning as the agency's national creative director.

Sinha's elevation is a strategic change leading to the restructuring of the operations at Rediffusion-Y&R in South and East. Under his unified role, the agency will aim to deliver better synergies to the brands that it works on, through a larger talent pool and enhanced collaboration between offices.

Commenting on the restructuring, D Rajappa, president, Rediffusion-Y&R, says, "At Rediffusion-Y&R, we have always believed in meritocracy, entrepreneurial drive and providing an empowering environment for performers. Sinha, Medhora and Paddy have established an outstanding track record in their previous roles, and hence, this move reiterates our agency's beliefs and philosophy."

Sinha comments on his new role, "I have been a part of the growth story for the Eastern region at Rediffusion. I look forward to the opportunities that the Southern market presents with respect to the multitude of brands that we can work on." He further feels confident of leveraging the synergies of the agency's talent pool across offices through enhanced collaboration.

Medhora remarks, "Rediffusion-Y&R Mumbai has an eclectic mix of clientele where some great work has been delivered. I will continue to focus on the mandate of driving growth, quality of work and collaborating across offices to deliver world-class communication solutions for our client brands."

Sinha has over 25 years of experience in marketing and advertising, having worked on brands such as Gold Flake, Wills, Scissors, Eveready, Harpic, Cherry Blossom, Bata, Tata Steel, Berger Paints, Spencer's, Anandabazar Patrika and IFB, to name a few. He joined Rediffusion-Y&R in October 2003, as head of the Kolkata operations, and subsequently, assumed a larger group role. Over the last seven years, Sinha has played a key role in growing business in the East and forging client partnerships.

Medhora came to Rediffusion-Y&R around three years ago. Over the last 15 years, he has worked on brands such as Tata Nano, the commercial vehicles of Tata Motors, Taj Group of Hotels, Kingfisher Airlines, Rasna, Orra, Sugarfree, Bombay Realty, Bank of India, Kaya, adidas, Pedigree, Michelin, Moser Baer, National Geographic, the History Channel, Twinings, Bajaj Capital, Cielo, Matiz, Santro, Getz, TVS Victor, TVS Fiero, Apollo Tyres, Real Juice, Lemoneez, Harvest Gold, Canon Caneras, BPL, Nike, Scullers, McDowell's (No. 1 Whisky, Celebration Rum, Blue Riband Gin, Old Cask Rum, Black Dog), Spice Telecom, and Pepsi.
