This time, the awards show will contain three new categories, namely, Mobiles, PR and Healthcare.
The Advertising Club Bangalore Awards has extended its dates for receiving entries from across the country for its awards for excellence in communication and media, the Big Bang Awards, to May 10, 2011.
Constituted over 20 years ago, the Big Bang Awards bring together agencies across the country to share their creative campaigns and network with creative geniuses.
The Big Bang awards this year, will feature eight types of awards for advertising within the Mobile category. Distinguishing PR efforts, internal and external, will be recognised and honoured at the awards. The evolution of specialised health communication specialists is the reason to introduce this category of awards this time.
The Ad Club Bangalore has also instituted an award for young achievers, that is, creative persons under 30 years of age, to recognise and nurture their creative abilities, and offer them a platform to showcase their talent.
"The Big Bang Awards present a platform to give an impetus to creativity across all levels. The advertising industry is teeming with talent and amazing work, and there is a need for it to be seen by all," says Prateek Srivastava, president, The Ad Club Bangalore, adding, that through these awards, the attempt is to recognise and infuse fresh thinking and nurture the seed of creativity that is growing among people. "The introduction of the three new categories makes the Big Bang Awards bigger this year," he further states.
