Leo Burnett appoints Suvadip Ghosh Mazumdar as vice-president

Mazumdar will be based in Mumbai; earlier, he was deputy general manager, consumer and marketing insight, Virgin Mobile.

Leo Burnett has appointed Suvadip Ghosh Mazumdar as vice-president. Mazumdar will be based in the Mumbai office of the agency.

Mazumdar, who has more than 12 years of experience as a marketer, started his career as a consumer market researcher at Quantum Market Research, in Mumbai. At Quantum, he worked on brands such as Marico, Colgate-Palmolive, Tata Motors and ITC for four years. Later, he moved to Draftfcb Ulka as group manager, account planning. At the agency, he handled brands such as Hero Honda, HCL and Godfrey Phillips. After two years, he moved to FCB for a short stint, as strategic planning director. In 2007, he joined Virgin Mobile.

Some of his achievements include the STAR Youth Achiever of the Year Award 2011, which he bagged at the STAR News and Global Youth Marketing Forum.
