Confirming the news to afaqs!, Alok Agarwal, chief operating officer, Cheil Worldwide Southwest Asia, says, "Yes, we have won the business for 9.9 Media. It was not an open pitch. Initially, we were working with it on a few projects for some time. Then, perhaps it saw value in us and asked us to handle all ATL duties, events and various promotional activities of the specialised magazine group."

This is the first time that the media group has consolidated its advertising and branding duties with a single integrated agency. Earlier, the duties were being handled by various small agencies.

Pramath Raj Sinha, managing director, 9.9 Media, says, "Cheil Worldwide will help us to design creative marketing strategies to help us grow."

The marketing and expansion plans of the group include various exercises to increase consumer interaction and connection. 9.9 Media intends to start aggressive integrated brand building and positioning exercises to gain prominence in the industry through various ATL communications such as print and electronic, along with rigorous below the line (BTL) activities.
