Suraja Kishore joins Publicis Ambience as national planning director

Kishore hails from Lowe Lintas India, where he was senior vice-president, strategic brand planning.

Suraja Kishore has joined Publicis Ambience as national planning director. He hails from Lowe Lintas India, where he was senior vice-president, strategic brand planning. At Publicis, he will report to Nakul Chopra, chief executive officer, South Asia, Publicis Communications.

Kishore fills the post left vacant by S Subramanyeswar a while ago.

Chopra tells afaqs!, "Suraja brings with him not only a strong planning mind, but an approach to planning that can impact creative output. This is the unique potency that he brings with him." Kishore shall be a part of the Publicis Executive Committee.

On his move from Lowe to Publicis Ambience, Kishore remarks, "I was happy at Lowe but the opportunity at Publicis is not just creating something at a brand level, but to create things at an organisational level. I hope to make a difference to Publicis Ambience as a brand, in this larger role. Further, I am looking forward to working with Ashish Khazanchi here."

Kishore is a TISS graduate. He has undertaken various roles, including being a corporate communicator, copywriter, marketer, academician and a strategic brand planner. He joined Lowe Lintas India in 2005.

He brings with him more than 14 years of diverse learning across categories, including telecom, food and beverages, retail, hospitality, automobile, ITES, personal care and confectionery.

He has led development of brand campaigns such as Idea Cellular ('What an Idea, Sirji') and Tata Tea ('Jaago Re'), and helped his agency win Effies for both the brands consecutively for the last three years. During his stint at MICA as an academician, he conceived and executed a creative programme with specialisation in copywriting and art direction, and also conducted various professional development programmes in the areas of advertising, marketing and creative thinking for professionals from the industry and ad clubs.

He keeps his academic interest alive as a visiting faculty to MICA, S P Jain Institute of Management and Research, Tata Management Training Centre and Northpoint, among others.
