In his last role, Jose worked with Express DDB as creative director in Kenya.

Well-poised for growth, Curry Nation, one of the youngest agencies around, has chosen Porus Jose to head its creative output. Jose joins the agency as creative brand management and will report to Priti Nair, co-founder, Curry Nation.

Confirming the development, Nagessh Pannaswami, co-founder, Curry Nation, says, "Porus (Jose) is an old friend. We have worked together in the past. He shares a similar passion for creative work. Curry Nation is on a growth phase and we needed someone to champion our cause internally, and externally. Being on the same wavelength, Jose proved to be the perfect fit."

With around 16 years of experience in advertising, Jose last worked with Express DDB as creative director in Kenya.

Excited at the prospect of working once again with Nair and Pannaswami, Jose says, "Having worked together before, there always remained this certain connect, a magic that we decided to recreate once more."

"Curry Nation is a young agency. Things are picking up. The agency is about to launch itself into the next growth level. I am looking forward to address the need to carve a certain product that is our own. There is certainly an opportunity for that in the market. We need to have a different take on advertising," says Jose.

Jose's career spans stints at several major agencies. He began his career in 1995 as a copywriter at an agency called By Design. After a stint that lasted a little over two years, he headed to Saatchi & Saatchi. He joined Lowe Lintas in 1999 and after a couple of years, moved to Rediffusion-Y&R, where he worked for more than three years. Before moving to Kenya, he worked for almost five years at Network Advertising, where he last held the position of creative director.

Jose has worked for various brands such as Head & Shoulders, Rexona, All Clear, Colgate Palmolive, Airtel, Wyeth, Bharat Matrimony, DHL, and Star Health Insurance. He fondly recalls the work he did for Rexona (24-Hour Protection) re-launch, Axe, Colgate Total, Airtel (Airtel MTV mobile card), and Crown Berger Paints.
