Oggy and the Cockroaches take a trip to school

The channel will conduct school contact programmes across seven cities and connect kids with the show through games and activities.

Cartoon Network's new show Oggy and the Cockroaches connects with its target audience through an on-ground school contact programme across seven cities that includes Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Coimbatore and Madurai.

With the help of the activation, the channel aims to tap almost 550 schools, engaging over five lakh kids through quizzes, activities and branded merchandise based on Oggy and the Cockroaches. The activity will start from August 1 and will continue for one month.

The channel is promoting the show on other media. An on-air contest called 'Oggy di New House Party!' requires children to answer questions while watching the show, and win hampers and merchandise along with a gift voucher of Rs 50,000 for a home makeover. The contest started on July 23 and will continue till August 31. The kids can send their answers by messaging to 58888.

On the digital platform, the entire Cartoon Network website, www.cartoonnetworkindia.com, has been given a new look to reflect the Oggy and the Cockroaches theme. The channel also plans to create several games based on the show.
