Of these, 27 awards were given to Indian agencies across eight categories such as Design (four), Film (one), Film Craft (seven), Media (three), Outdoor (six), PR (two), Print (two) and Print and Poster Craft (two). Indian agencies had won 47 awards across 12 categories in the previous edition of Spikes Asia.

This time, McCann Worldgroup India (Mumbai) bagged the Grand Prix in the Design category in the Posters sub-category. The agency won the metal for ATSS' Keyless Entry System. The brief from the client was to promote and advertise the biometric fingerprint door lock system and show its efficacy as compared to regular house keys. The agency wanted to illustrate the sheer frustration people suffer when searching for their house keys, in their bags or pockets. To represent the same, it created three quirky characters whose bags would have a range of interesting items that can come in the way while searching for keys. The agency used twisted hands, and placed the objects around them, one of which were the keys, which would be the hardest to find.

In the Design category, McCann Worldgroup India (Mumbai) also won a gold for its campaign, 'Author Headphones', for Penguin Group India audio books. Meanwhile, O&M Mumbai and Taproot India won a silver and bronze metal each for Gujarat Tourism and BCCL campaigns, respectively.
