KnightsAD hires Ajit Sawant as co-founder and MD

Sawant joins from Techzone, an entity under Eros International, where he spearheaded business development strategies.

KnightsAD, a performance-based advertising network and global affiliate partners, has roped in Ajit Sawant as co-founder and managing director. Sawant will be based in Mumbai and he will ensure delivery of business prospects and meeting advertisers' targets. In addition to this, he will look after the company's financial aspects and management of publishers.

With nearly a decade's experience in the value-added services (VAS) industry, Sawant joins KnightsAD from Techzone, an Eros International company, where he handled business development, as well as employee and client relation management.

Speaking on the new appointment, Malik Gilani, chief executive officer, KnightsAD, says in a press release, "We are thrilled to have (Ajit) Sawant on-board with us. With an impressive decade of experience, his insights will bring a new dimension to the way we view our consumers. With his level of business intellect and work ethics, we are sure KnightsAD will achieve greater heights."

Speaking on his new role, Sawant says in a press release, "My formative years in the VAS industry and in-depth study about this field, have helped me develop strong fundamentals in this space. Mobile advertising in India has undergone a significant change in the last two years and continues to grow at a phenomenal rate, with advertisers providing targetted and personalised ads to cater to different market segments."

He adds, "The constant innovation and inventions in this industry is what drives me and to be a part of a team that shares the same vision of providing business-centric solutions in this space, is a great opportunity. I look forward to work with the team at KnightsAd."

Prior to his role at Techzone, Sawant worked with the digital distribution and new media company Shotformats Digital Productions. In this role, he defined and drove product strategy and the road map of the business so as to achieve budgeted revenues. He was further involved in analysis and implementation of the best practices for subscriber base management and content.
