EMVIES 2018: Wavemaker wins Agency of the Year award

Vodafone India went on to win Client of the Year award.

Wavemaker India went on to win Agency of the Year award at EMVIES 2018. The agency went on to win the 2018 title with 400 points that included 12 Gold, 12 Silver and 20 Bronze metals. Vodafone India went on to win Client of the Year award.

Out of the 12 Gold metals that Wavemaker won, seven Gold awards came for Vodafone India's campaigns. The first two Gold awards was for 'Vodafone helps reunite lost children with their parents using technology' campaign under two different categories (Best Media Innovation - Ambient Media and Best Media Innovation - Best Use of Emerging Technology for a Media Solution). The agency's next two Gold awards were for 'Vodafone gave the best birthday gift ever' campaign under two different categories (Best Media Innovation - Print - Dailies and Best Media Innovation - Direct Marketing).

The agency's next three Gold awards came for Vodafone India's 'Good in Goodbyes' campaign under Best Media Innovation - Ambient Media category, 'How Vodafone ensured a safe and worry free spiritual experience for lakhs of pilgrims at Sabarimala' campaign under Best Media Innovation - Events / Experiential Marketing category and 'How Vodafone inspired farmers to choose life over suicide' under Best Media Innovation - Events / Experiential Marketing category.

Wavemaker won three Gold awards for Aquaguard's 'We helped India drink healthy water - Pincode by Pincode!' campaign under three different categories (Best Media Strategy - Consumer Durables, Best Media Innovation - Digital - Multiple Platform and Best Media Innovation - Digital - Mobile / hand held devices). The agency won a Gold for Tata Tea's 'Alarm Bajne Se Pehle - Jaago Re!' campaign under EMVIE for Good category and Aashirvaad Atta's 'Taking Fake News Head on - Channelizing into Brand Growth' campaign under Best Media Strategy - Consumer Products - Confectionary and food category.

Lodestar UM went on to win four Gold awards. The first two awards were for Samsung India's 'Samsung NDTV Camera Partnership' campaign under two different categories (Best Media Innovation - Television and Best Media Innovation - Branded Content). The next two awards were for Times of India's 'The Times of India - #Noconditionsapply: Sindoor Khela' campaign under two different categories (EMVIE for Good and Best Media Innovation - Direct Marketing).

Mindshare went on to win two Gold awards. The first award was for Lifebuoy's 'Activating Infection Alert System in Rural India' campaign under Best Media Research/Analytics - Best use of Analytics/Data Technology category and the second award was for Republic TV's 'Republic launch' campaign under Best Integrated Campaign - Media category.

Initiative Media went on to win a Gold for Harpic's 'No Toilet No Wedding' campaign under Best Media Innovation - Branded Content category. Essence went on to win a Gold for Google Maps' 'How static analogous billboards came alive with Google Maps!' campaign under Best Media Innovation - Out of Home category and WATConsult went on to win a Gold for Project Nanhi Kali's '#PowerlessQueen' campaign under Best Media Innovation - Best Use of Influencer Marketing for a brand category.

Lodestar UM bagged the Grand EMVIE award for Times Of India's '#Noconditionsapply: Sindoor Khela' campaign under Best Media Innovation - Events / Experiential Marketing category.

The awards mentioned below did not feature in computation of Media Agency of the Year and Media Client of the Year Award.

Under Best Implementation Team of the Year category, Lodestar UM won a Gold for Samsung India's 'Samsung - Samsung NDTV Camera Partnership' campaign (Best Media Innovation - Television) and Wavemaker won a Gold for Vodafone India's 'Vodafone helps reunite lost children with their parents using technology' campaign (Best Media Innovation - Ambient Media).

Under Young Emvie of the Year category, Mayank Dedhia from Wavemaker won a Gold for Vodafone India's 'Great to Good - The Bahubali way' campaign.

Under Best Buying Team of the Year - DIGITAL category, Wavemaker's Ashwin Salian, Silky Seth and Shikha Saket handling Vodafone India's account, won a Gold. Under the same category, Mindshare India's Samrat Kakkar, Vikram, Kishore, Disha, Iti Kaul and Pankaj Nagpal handling PepsiCo India's account won a Gold.

Under Best Buying Team of the Year - PRINT category, Mediacom Communications' Rachana Monteiro, Debankur Kashyap and Hardik Senjalia handling P&G India's account won a Gold. Under Best Buying Team of the Year - TELEVISION category, Rachana Monteiro, Debankur Kashyap, Kalpesh Thakkar, Hardik Senjalia, Swapnil Birla, Priyanka Shrivastava, Vrushali Joshi and Amey handling P&G India's account won a Gold.
