Bangalore-based Propaganda India is part of Publicis Group’s L&K Saatchi & Saatchi

Highly placed sources at L&K Saatchi & Saatchi have confirmed that Bangalore-based agency, Propaganda India is now a part of the Publicis Group under L&K Saatchi & Saatchi. The new entity is called Saatchi & Saatchi Propagate and L&K Saatchi & Saatchi has taken over Propaganda’s clients and team. It will be a full-fledged digital-first agency. Priya Jayaraman, founder and business director, Propaganda India, will head Saatchi & Saatchi Propagate along with Anil Nair, the present CEO of L&K Saatchi & Saatchi.

L&K Saatchi & Saatchi, as well as Saatchi & Saatchi Propagate will act as two different business units but will come under the joint umbrella of L&K Saatchi & Saatchi. The source informed us that Saatchi & Saatchi Propagate will operate out of the L&K premises, wherever applicable (mainly in cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Calcutta). They pointed out that L&K Saatchi & Saatchi does not presently have a full-fledged office in Bangalore. Therefore, Saatchi & Saatchi Propagate’s office in Bangalore will also double up as L&K Saatchi & Saatchi’s office.

We spoke to Priya Jayaraman, new CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Propagate and we asked her how different her new role would be from her previous. She told us that “being a part of the system allows me two work two ways. It allows me to bring in digital sensibilities to a whole lot of clients who have not yet forayed into that space. At the same time, it lets me bring in a lot of brand sensibilities and teachings, which adds up to a lot of what we were doing at Propaganda India. When everyone comes together, our ability to deliver gets multiplied.”
