Sanjeev Kotnala, group business director, quits Mudra

Vineet Singh Hukmani, vice-president, Mudra Communications, Delhi will be now in charge of the others brands that were under Kotnala’s care

Sanjeev Kotnala, the group business director at Mudra Communications, Delhi, has put in his papers.

When contacted, Kotnala declined to spell out the reasons of his departure.

Vineet Singh Hukmani, who had joined Mudra earlier this year as vice-president, Mudra Communications, Delhi, will be now in charge of the others brands that were under Kotnala's care. In fact, soon after Hukmani joined Mudra, he was given the Yamaha portfolio - the most prominent and the largest account of Mudra's Delhi office.

During his at Mudra, Kotnala has worked on accounts such as Dabur, Yamaha, Reliance, Rotomac and Dainik Jagran. This, incidentally, was his second stint; the first being when he had joined Mudra as a management trainee in 1987.

Kotnala says, working in Mudra Delhi was great fun. "I have had a great time here. It's a lovely place with great people."

Kotnala, an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), launched his career in advertising with Mudra, Ahmedabad, in 1987. He had joined as a management trainee. After a three-year stint in 1990, Kotnala moved to JWT, Delhi, as a senior account executive. Six years hence, he joined Lowe (then Lintas) as an associate account director. At Lintas, Kotnala worked for four years, before heading for his first agency, Mudra. In between, he had also worked with TBWA for a short period of six months. © 2004 agencyfaqs!
