Prem Mehta conferred AAAI-Premnarayen Award

In recognition for his outstanding contribution to the Indian advertising industry, Prem Mehta, chairman & managing director, Lintas India, has been conferred this year's AAAI-Premnarayen Award. The prestigious annual award was presented to Mehta by the AAAI's newly elected president Srinivasan K Swamy (CEO, RKSwamy/BBDO) at a ceremony in Mumbai on the evening of Friday, July 30.

Mehta is the sixteenth recipient of the AAAI-Premnarayen Award, and joins the illustrious list of awardees that has such names as the late Subhas Ghosal, Bal B Mundkur, K Kurien, SR (Mani) Ayer, Alyque Padamsee, Sylvester daCunha, MK (Mike) Khanna, the late Prof Subroto Sengupta, the late Ravi Gupta, the late RK Swamy, AG Krishnamurthy, Mohammed Khan, Gerson daCunha, Walter Saldanha and Diwan Arun Nanda.

The AAAI-Premnarayen Award, named in the memory of the late Shri Premnarayen Indernarayen (managing director of Sista's Advertising from 1952 to 1970, and founder of Prem Associates Advertising & Marketing), was constituted in 1988, and is presented to individuals for their contribution in the area of exemplary leadership of the industry. © 2004 agencyfaqs!
