DSP Mutual Fund and Bandstand Collective have released a new short film titled “Salute,” highlighting the role of Mutual Fund Distributors (MFDs). The film was developed by Tune, Bandstand Collective’s in-house creative agency. This marks another collaboration in their ongoing creative partnership.
The film highlights the role of Mutual Fund Distributors, who help clients plan for long-term financial goals. The film focuses on their contribution to financial planning and reinforces DSP Mutual Fund’s focus on making finance more relatable.
"MF Distributors & Investment Advisors are unsung heroes who quietly elevate the financial futures of countless families. With 'Salute', we wanted to re-shine a light on the impact they have on people who trust them, especially in the crazy world of D-I-Y where only success stories surface & get shared. At DSP, our endeavour is to keep trying to bring a human touch to finance, to make it personal, relatable, and real. Over the years, with Bandstand Collective, we’ve been able to tell many stories that go beyond numbers- stories of trust, responsibility, and deep care. Salute is another heartfelt chapter in that journey. We hope it moves people to recognise and celebrate those who help make long-term dreams possible" said Abhik Sanyal, senior vice president and Head- Marketing at DSP Mutual Fund.
Over the years, Bandstand Collective’s creative team has crafted a distinctive content library for DSP Mutual Fund—breaking away from the usual data-heavy, charts-and-figures style of financial communication. Their approach has focused instead on storytelling rooted in everyday life, emotion, and human connection.
Among the most memorable successes of this partnership is the beloved“Dancing Uncle is Back” film, which captured the imagination of audiences across the country. Other standout films such as“The Neighbor We Didn’t Know We Needed” and “Stranger on the Bench” have further cemented DSP’s reputation for thoughtful, woman-centric financial storytelling that resonates with diverse investor segments.
Speaking about the latest campaign, Tuhin, co-founder and CCO at Bandstand Collective, said, "Our work with DSP Mutual Fund has always been about going beyond the numbers and focusing on content that can touch hearts. A lot of credit goes to the team behind the brand for backing the right content and giving us the freedom to create relatable stories. With ‘Salute,’ we wanted to give voice to the silent architects of financial security—the MFDs—who rarely get the recognition they deserve."
