After McDonald’s announced the return of its popular Snack Wrap following a nine-year hiatus, rival fast food chain Popeyes, which launched its own chicken wrap in the same week, responded with a provocative twist.
The Louisiana-style chicken brand released an AI-generated diss track, complete with a music video featuring a dejected clown widely interpreted as a reference to Ronald McDonald, the iconic mascot of its competitor.
“To all the clowns in the kitchen, it’s time to put down the chicken,” read the caption accompanying the video on social media. The track’s chorus didn’t hold back either: “Food be tasting funny when the clown be in the kitchen.”
McDonald's Ranch Snack Wrap
McDonald’s Snack Wrap, first introduced in the early 2000s, typically features grilled or crispy chicken, lettuce, shredded cheese, and sauce, wrapped in a flour tortilla.
As fans weigh in on which chain wins the wrap war, some are now wondering: will McDonald’s respond with a track of its own?
