Think WhyNot Group (TYN), the marketing force behind most of the best-selling Indian authors has announced the launch of a unique lit fest - 'Litomania - The October lit fest'. This lit fest is unique because it moves away from the traditional 'West-focus' to the 'Indian-focus' on literature.
Presented by Tridhaatu Realty & Infra Pvt. Ltd., Litomania will be celebrating the renaissance of Indian writing with the presence of 50 top authors on one platform. It is selectively focused only on the best-selling Indian literature, it is reflective of 'What India is Reading'.
Sangram Surve, CEO, Think WhyNot Group & Festival Director, Litomania says, "We have ensured that Litomania features the top 20% authors that contribute to 80% of the revenues in the Indian publishing industry. The fest will be an annual property and continue to bring readers and the top authors together. Apart from discovering 'What India is Reading', Litomania will look at trans-media exploration of content through the Litomania app and website."
The Advisory Board includes the popular bestselling Indian writers, Amish Tripathi, Ashwin Sanghi and Ravi Subramanian and industry stalwart, Sivaraman Balakrishnan.
Why another litfest - one would ask?
There is no litfest dedicated purely to popular Indian writing. Indian authors have done exceedingly well in recent years. Indian readers have taken a fancy for Indian writing. Litomania will provide a platform for readers to discover what motivates their favorite authors to write. The litfest will aim at nurturing reading, ideas and dialogue and will showcase the range and diversity of Indian literature.
Commenting on the association Pritam Chivukula, Director - Tridhaatu Realty & Infra Pvt. Ltd. said, "Tridhaatu has always supported endeavours around nature, art & sports. We strive to go beyond the traditional real estate and focus on creating better lifestyles for communities. We strongly believe that Litomania will enrich minds of the patrons and create a mark in the literary world."
What can one expect?
Interactions with the top Indian authors through genre-specific discussions, book launches, master classes, workshops and entertainment. The weekend will be interesting for children as well, with specialized workshops like 'Publishing for Kids' & a 'Wildlife workshop' amongst others. Entertainment-filled evenings will dot the weekend.
The Litomania App - A unique platform that will unite top authors and readers
Litomania fest will exist beyond the brick and mortar and extend into the realms of the virtual platform.
